Students First Australia is participating in the Walk for Autism event held by Autism Spectrum Australia, where for 8 days from the 27th of March to the 3rd of April, we have pledged to walk 10,000 steps a day. People on the autism spectrum see, hear, feel and experience the world differently. These individuals have to cope with stress and anxiety that comes from unpredictable and confusing social interactions on account of disparities in communication and understanding. Additionally, some may be burdened with over or under-sensitivity which can cause a sensory overload that can make public settings challenging. The funds from this event will help remove the obstacles that exclude those on the autism spectrum and provide opportunities for them to participate, fulfil their potential and flourish without fear or prejudice.
This is an incredible cause, so we would really appreciate your help in raising $500 and making a difference in these individuals' lives.
